Rolling huge hills, molded by time, has been mostly free from modern man. Fires, slides, these mounds are part of the Los Padres National Wilderness, free from development, and difficult to travel. Last year the US government wanted to use it for a bombing range, but resistance from the SalmonCoalition convinced Rep Sam Farr to successfully block it. Los Padres National Wilderness.
