This type of Amaryllis, is commonly called "Century Plant". 30 feet high. It takes many years to flower, although not a full century. The Century Plant provided Native Americans with a source of soap, food, fiber, medicine and weapons. The grisly wierd growth to its left is most likely a Joshua Tree.
