Dan Hawthorn's New Zealand Manakau Souh Head
Old, old sand dunes some 400 foot high have partly solidified as iron bearing water seeps through them. I get here by kayak at low tide and race about taking photos of the shapes and forms of the fallen chunks at the base of the dunes before the tide drives me away again.
