PeaceWalk1989 . . . . . . . This high rise neighborhood is the equivalent of suburbia in America. Most Soviets live in housing like this, with frequent bus transportation from downtown. Local shopping centers have little to sell, construction seems shoddy and maintainance poor. I take this photo from the window of my hosts: Anatoli is a noted graphic designer, and his wife Natasha is a well known dress designer. The apartment has one bedroom.
