INDIA . . Greg . . . Three of us gaily train to Trivandrum where I draw them at the town gate. Center , the crowd stares in a restaraunt. At right, the locals peer into our rented hut, while he sketches them. Greg is 19, a victim of polio from a young age, with bony stalk legs which can support him but no muscles. He has climbed Pikes Peak, descended Grand Canyon and finished marathons on crutches, carries backpack and day pack with gay abandon. We forge a friendship easily. After leaving India, he moves to Taipei, last I heard was working as an artist designing fabrics there.
