IRELAND . .Celtic-Maze . This simple design interests me, and I still feel like a stranger here. I have only touched the tip of this fascinating country, but now I am due in Northern Ireland. The Irish language is as lyrical as the people. Hedgerow plants are named - Lady's Smock, Germander Speedwell, Ribgrass, Tufted Vetch, Shepherd's Purse. Towns have colorful names, too - Skibbereen, Ballyduff, Luimnich. Birds are named - wagtail, pipit, stockdove, coaltit, and chiffchaff. The train rattles, my heart reaches to California. It is hard to express love long distance. I'm grateful for my children and grandchildren, Phyllis and my Men's Group and others in my life.
